As a mother, it’s important to me to take care of myself. Not only for me, but for the sake of my family who are depending on me. That’s why I believe in keeping universal access to the Pap and HPV co-tests. This life-saving cervical cancer screening co-test was offered to me while pregnant with my son and i couldn’t be more grateful that I had that chance. Prior to the invention of the Pap test, cervical cancer was the #1 cancer killer of people who have a cervix – now it’s #15. Due to the detection by the Pap and HPV co-test, 94.1% of cervical cancers and 99.7% of cervical pre-cancers were detected.
